Hobbies/Interests: Snowboarding, International Travel, Asian Cuisine and Watching Movies.

Interesting Facts: I was born in Germany, have flown planes on my own, am an Eagle Scout and really could eat every day at Arawan Thai Cuisine!

Bio: Ryan's cheerleading experience started 11 years ago as a junior at Crescent Valley High School. By the time he finished his senior season at CV, as the captain of the 1999 State Champion team, he had fallen in love with cheerleading and the competitive aspects.

He continued his passion for cheerleading at the collegiate level while attending the University of Oregon. While at UO, he juggled many activities besides cheerleading and still found time to attend his business school classes. At U of O, he became a Director of the UO Investment Group. In addition to his interest in finance, Ryan was part of the

Oregon Army National Guard for 6 years. As Combat Engineer, he had two domestic deployments. During his junior year, he was deployed for a year at Ft. Lewis, Washington where he spent a year helping with homeland security as a member of Operation Noble Eagle. Most recently, he was sent to help rebuild New Orleans just days after Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005.

When he returned to college after his deployment at Ft. Lewis, and his final year with the UO Cheer Squad, Ryan helped choreograph and lead the team to a National Championship at the USA Collegiate National Championship. Ryan graduated from University of Oregon in 2005 with a concentration in finance. Since his college graduation, he has worked as an Investment Advisor in the Portland metro area. He has also participated on several post-collegiate teams including the NBA Seattle Supersonics Stunt Team and is currently a member of the NBA Portland Trailblazers Stunt Team and the StyleShock Open Co-Ed Team Blackout.

Ryan has been a member of the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) staff since 2001 where he served as Head Instructor, managing camp staffs, administering schedules and training team coaches, for 6 years. Before coaching the StyleShock All-Girl Collegiate team from 2005-2007, Ryan coached at Elite Cheer and Dance in Auburn, WA in 2003-2004. He has taught tumbling and stunting classes at several gyms and has also organized several camps and clinics.

Today, Ryan focuses his energy as an investment advisor by day and a new gym owner by night. His passion and drive are what has made StyleShock the success that it is today.
