 Brian Cao Brian Cao
Owner, Program Director, Lead Choreographer & Director of Operations
Nickname: K.O.
Hobbies/Interests: Cheerleading, Dance, Cooking, Music and Entertaining!
Interesting Facts: I am the youngest of 5 kids and the only one to be born in the United States! I have a broken middle toe that has never been fixed, and have been to 6 different countries just for cheerleading!
Why I love StyleShock: "StyleShock means more to me than just a name. Above all it means FAMILY. This company would not be where it is today if it was not for my best friends who have been there to support me from the start. StyleShock belongs to them just as much as it does to me! I am excited to share this family with kids all around Oregon and show them that cheer and dance can truly change your outlook on life!"
Bio: Brian has been involved with cheerleading for the past 13 years. Originally from Beaverton, Oregon, he cheered with the Aloha High School Warriors, helping them achieve the 1997 Oregon State Championship title in the Co-Ed Division. He moved on to cheer with for University of Oregon Ducks, and received a position as an instructor with the prestigious National Cheerleaders Association (NCA).
After years as an NCA Head Instructor and becoming a captain for the Duck Cheerleaders, his interest turned toward coaching squads of his own. Eventually, Brian went on to coach the Churchill High School Lancers to their first-ever State Title in 2001, and kept his affiliation with the Ducks as an Assistant Coach from 2000-2003, and Competition Choreographer from 2003-2004.
Brian has been noted as one of the top choreographers in the Northwest, while also making his mark on the national and world circuits as an up-and-coming choreographer with routines that have placed on the state, national and international levels. He feels blessed that StyleShock has evolved to where it is today. Never would he have imagined back in 2002 that the name would be recognized among cheerleaders and dancers all around!
You can catch Brian spending countless hours at the new StyleShock facility in Tigard, or bustin' a move on the court for the Blazers Jam Squad!
